Smoke extraction from large-scale spaces

Geze nrwgs used for automatic fire ventilation can of course also be used for daily ventilation. They are therefore dual function units and are not just used in the event of a fire. If nrwgs are also used for day-to-day ventilation, additional components for automation are recommended, such as vent switches, rain-wind controls or temperature and co2 sensors. The rwa system is controlled via the geze emergency power supply unit.

Fumes can lead to unconsciousness in just three breaths, and to death after ten. Toxic fumes also pose a serious risk, however these fumes can quickly be drawn outside via a smoke and heat extraction system. The smoke will begin to fill the space available moving laterally instead of vertically. Convection of the smoke will cause it to be drawn back down to low level  reducing visibility and the chances of a safe escape. Temperatures will continue to rise causing the potential flash over and collapse of the building.

They primarily serve to protect people by keeping escape and rescue routes smoke-free. Smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems, also known as "Shevs" are natural or powered systems to remove smoke from a building allowing low level escape routes to be kept clear of smoke and reducing damage to the building. Below listed are selected components based on which we implement smoke removal and ventilation systems as well as fire jumta logi detection and alarm systems in civil structures. As may be seen, we use a broad range of solutions fit for a variety of buildings. We are, therefore, capable of developing optimal solutions as regards technology and costs, which fulfil the specific requirements of a given building.

Approved smoke and heat exhaust ventilation (shev) systems are an essential part of any modern fire protection concept. Where the roof space is extensive, it’s necessary to limit  the spread of smoke within the roof space. This requires high level smoke barriers to divide the roof space into discrete smoke reservoirs. These barriers may be fixed or automatic smoke curtains or heat resistant boards or glazing. Barriers are also often used in complex buildings such as shopping centres and atrium buildings to control the flow of smoke into the mall or atrium.

Addressable manual call points are supplied in standards adequate to the working conditions. They are important elements of fire alarm systems (fas), therefore, the solutions we propose guarantee fast reaction in a time shorter than 3 seconds. The devices have a self-test mode, which is started automatically every day.

Pursuant to art. 256 section 2 of the act [2], such equipment should also be used in staircases (enclosed and shut with doors with a fire resistance class of at least ei 30), the entrances to which are to serve as the end of exit access. A constant supply of outside air should be provided to an enclosed garage to make up for the loss of air discharged with the smoke. Human life and health depend on the correct operation of fire ventilation situated on escape routes. Vertical smoke curtains are an important fire safety system for modern buildings.
